Niutsuhime-jinja

This is a light up project for one of the historic shrine which is registered on the World Heritage List, located on the mountainside, Amano basin of Mt. Koya.
Since Niutsuhime is enshrined Goddess, with more than 1700 years of history, the theme of this project was sophisticated and sensitive lighting up which are fit to Mt. Koya, the presence of feminine and grace softness
Using overlap of light and shadow, it is achieved to create a sense of depth, making for the element of characteristic such as Shrine Gate and Tower Gate where directly aligned within its premises. Besides, it is concerned about color rendering properties in order to show bright red of each elements.
Since there is symmetric property for architecture of Shrine, it is decided of each location of lighting fixture for lighting up, so that the light became bilaterally symmetric one as well. As a result, it is achieved to make appearance of braided shadow symmetry beautifully and created the atmosphere with dignity inside of silence.
